About Us
CreditPur.com is a US-focused credit card and personal finance education resource, built on one core principle: financial information should be accurate, clearly sourced, and written so that anyone can understand it.
Who Is Behind This Site
CreditPur is run by Ashok Kumar, an independent researcher specializing in US consumer credit and personal finance education.
I have been researching US credit cards, credit scores, and consumer finance for the past two years. I created CreditPur because I noticed how difficult it can be for people to find clear and unbiased information on these topics. My goal is to explain how credit works using official sources from the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and the Federal Reserve, so readers can better understand their options without any product recommendations or sales influence.
The site was created to fill a gap: there’s a lot of financial content online, but much of it is driven by affiliate commissions or sponsored placements. CreditPur publishes educational content only — no product recommendations, no sponsored placements, no affiliate-motivated rankings.
What CreditPur Covers
- How credit cards work
- How credit scores are calculated (FICO, VantageScore)
- What credit reports contain and how to read them
- How US consumer credit regulations protect cardholders
- How to understand credit card terms, fees, and interest calculations
How Content Is Created
Every article begins with primary source research — the actual CFPB guidelines, Federal Reserve reports, or Congressional legislation — not summaries of summaries. All factual claims include numbered citations linking directly to the original source.

A Note on Our Team
CreditPur is an independent, one-person research operation based in India, with an exclusive focus on US credit and personal finance topics. Content is researched using US government primary sources and written for a US audience. We believe thorough research and honest sourcing matter more than geography.
What We Don’t Do
- We don’t give personalized financial advice
- We don’t recommend specific credit cards or financial products
- We don’t accept sponsored content or paid placements
- We don’t let advertising influence editorial decisions
